Michael Feld - Owner, NAUI Instructor #50134
As Owner and CEO of Oceanblue Enterprises, Michael Feld, a dive instructor and entrepreneur, shares his personal passion for diving and lifelong interest in the underwater world with enthusiasts and beginners alike.
In 2002, after taking his initial course in New York City and completing his certification dives in Turks and Caicos, Michael earned his scuba diving certification, and quickly realized he had become part of a larger community of people with similar interests and excitement for the sport. In 2006, he established Oceanblue Divers, which has become one of the largest dive clubs in the country. The club began as a social forum and information exchange, and eventually incorporated, offering travel, training, event, and activity opportunities for members and newbies.
In 2008, Michael earned his instructor certification from the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI), began teaching diving in 2009, and achieved his NAUI Instructor Trainer designation in 2012. The purchase of Rex Dive Center in 2013, now known as Oceanblue Dive, gave Michael the opportunity to expand his interests to serve the retail and specialty needs of his clients in the greater New York area and across Fairfield County.
Michael now sits on the Board of Directors of NAUI and The Sea Turtle Conservancy. Additionally, Oceanblue proudly sponsors The Maritime Center Aquarium in Norwalk, CT, partners with the YMCA in Greenwich, CT, and supports various marine ecology organizations, including Reef Check Foundation, and The Shark Research Institute, among others.
In pursuit of the ultimate diving experience, Michael has traveled to international destinations including Cozumel, Belize, Tahiti, Bonaire, Indonesia, and most recently, the Galapagos Islands. He hopes to bring groups to further explore all corners of the Coral Triangle in the near future.
